Museo Néstor (Parque Doramas – Pueblo Canario, Las Palmas) — Néstor Martín Fernández de la Torre was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1887 and was one of the great Spanish modernist, symbolist painters. The Museum houses the majority of the painter’s work, and operates as an art gallery, hosting public exhibitions of the work of this local artist. The Museum is located in the heart of the architectural enclave known as the Pueblo Canario, in the Ciudad Jardín neighborhood, and its buildings are all reminiscent of traditional Canarian architecture. Located at the gates of one of the city’s green-belt areas, the Doramas Park, all the buildings were built based on the design of Néstor’s brother, architect Miguel Martín Fernández de la Torre. Admission: €0.90 per person. Hours: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm (Tuesday – Saturday), 10:30 am – 2:30 pm (Sundays & holidays).
